Live, Die, Read & Write

Eighteen people from an old folks home in Mol did not get to celebrate Christmas 2020. Eighteen souls… someone’s grandparent, parent, spouse, sibling, relative or friend, is dead because of Covid-19. And they all got this because a super-spreader was present at the home to celebrate Saint Nicholas Day. This kind of news really gets me all pissy and sad at the same time. Holy crap, I sure do not want to be in the shoes of that hulpsint.

On a happier note, the closing of schools in the Seattle area had prompted my eight year old niece in writing a short composition. The two-parts tale contains several characters, adventures, and interesting plots. At such a young age, Victoria was able to put her imagination into written sentences. Her tale is readable and enjoyable. The occasional use of complex words, and correct punctuations makes it even more impressive.

Virus or no virus, the world keeps on spinning on its axis. People die, people live, some read, some write, and life simply goes on…
