Chestnut Rice & Walnut Butter

A few days ago, I mentioned that I needed to find ways to consume and store the abundance of chestnuts and walnuts that I have in the utility room.

Yesterday, I came across an interesting Japanese recipe of chestnut rice. I shall try it soon. As for the walnuts, I now have a jar of shelled walnuts in the fridge and this can keep for months. Some of the walnuts will be used to make walnut butter, something which I tried and liked last year. Food waste reduction by implementing mindful consumption and efficient storage.
