Days, Weeks & Months

During the first lockdown, a friend wrote in her email to me that the days are long, but the weeks flew by.

I then read somewhere that we have this perception of time because of the activities we insert in our days, weeks and months. When you stay at home, the hours will drag on because you are in one place where there are hardly any changes around you. But as the days pass by, your memories of things and events will blur together because there are a lack of variety in our lives, and thus the weeks rush by in a daze.

The days can be longish if we keep doing the same thing over and over, then the weeks will definitely be a blur. The months have definitely flew by and we are now in December!
